
Botball Hong Kong
Botball robotics competition is founded by the KISS Institute for Practical Robotics (KIPR) 1998 in the United States. Its main purpose is to promote students' interest in and participation in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
Educational Purpose
Botball is designed to bring robotics technology into the classroom, allowing students to learn engineering principles and programming skills through hands-on practice.
Competition Format
The competition requires students to design and build robots to complete a series of specific tasks. This competitive approach encouraged creativity and problem-solving skills.
Expansion and Popularization
Over time, the Botball competition gradually became popular world-wide, attracting more and more schools and students to participate.
Organization and Support
Techfuture collaborates with other educational institutions to provide resources and support, ensuring the smooth progress of the competition and the learning experience of the participants.


Hong Kong Robot Competition
Eligibility: Primary and secondary school students worldwide (no school nomination required for participating teams)
Competition Date: June 14 & 28, 2026 (Sunday) | Hong Kong Open Botball Championships
August 13 & 14, 2026 (Two Days) | Finals | Beijing National Speed Skating Oval (The Ice Ribbon)
Location: 24/F, Hip Shing Hong Wan Chai Centre, 303 Hennessy Road, Wan Chai
Competition Event: Hong Kong Open Botball Championships - Junior Botball Challenge
Awards: - There is no limit to the percentage of awards in each competition. You will receive the corresponding medals/certificates for completing the corresponding number of target tasks.
- The winning team will qualify for promotion to the Asian Open Championship and the International Finals.
Registration deadline: May 28, 2026
Application fee: Secondary school group: HK$980; Primary school group: HK$780
